## Setting up a narrative countdown
At the end of Foundrys "Journal" pane you can find the _Narrative Countdowns_ button.

Using the "Add Countdown" button you can add a new countdown:

Then you can set the name for the new countdown, the current and maximum value for the countdown, and the type

For the countdown type you have these options:
* Spotlight
* Character Attack
* Custom
Which will be explained below. You can also set a custom icon for the image by clicking on it, and the permissions for the countdown (player visibility) by clicking on the icon with the 3 people. You can also delete any countdown by clicking on the trashcan icon.
You can also use the _Toggle Simple View_ button in the window titlebar to switch to a more simple view, which is especially useful when having multiple countdowns active.
