Cosmos Campaign Frames

Welcome to the Cosmos Campaign Frames repository. This project contains a collection of custom, homebrew Campaign Frames designed for the Daggerheart tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) system.

Each campaign frame adapts a unique fictional universe or setting, providing setting lore, custom character options (ancestries, communities, classes), custom NPCs/adversaries, and campaign mechanics.

Available Campaign Frames

1. Echoes of the Hometree

  • Setting Inspiration: James Cameron's Avatar (Pandora)
  • Tone: Sci-Fi Fantasy, Survival, Rebellion, Eco-Centric
  • Complexity: Medium
  • Key Features:
    • Playable Na'vi traits (Ancestries & Communities representing Omatikaya, Metkayina, and Olangi clans).
    • Rules for bonding with and riding iconic Pandoran creatures like the Ikran (Banshee) and Pa'li (Direhorse).
    • Stat blocks for Pandoran wildlife (Viperwolves, Stingbats) and RDA adversaries (AMP Suits, Soldiers).
    • Custom weapons and armor matching Na'vi and RDA technology.

2. Bon Temps

  • Setting Inspiration: HBO's True Blood / Charlaine Harris's Southern Vampire Mysteries
  • Tone: Southern Gothic, Sultry, Suspenseful, Dark Urban Fantasy
  • Complexity: High
  • Key Features:
    • Playable supernaturals (Humans, Faeries, Shapeshifters, Werewolves, and Werepanthers).
    • Custom communities matching rural Louisiana life (Bayou-Born, Small-Town Local, Fangbanger, Hot Shot Reclusive, and Vampire Courtier).
    • Custom character transformations: Vampire (The Undead), V-Addict (The Blood-High), and Necromantic Medium.
    • Setting-specific rules for Silver Vulnerability, Vampire Glamour, and Blood Feeding (Tru Blood vs. living human blood vs. intoxicating Faerie blood).

How to Use These Frames

To use any of the campaign frames in this repository:

  1. Navigate to the desired frame's directory.
  2. Read the directory's README.md for a brief overview and navigation links.
  3. Open the core campaign settings document (e.g., bon_temps.md or Echoes of the Hometree.md) to run your campaign's Session Zero and guide player character creation.
